Banks, and Unions have given way. the former being on offer at $1540 and the latter have dropped from $575 to $500, but at this level there is now an unsatisfied demand. Utilities have remained quite steady and in cases show a slight improvement during the period. Philippine gold mines have again been the medium of a fair turi -- over. At the close, the market generally may be described on the steady aide.
