Amplication Of Hitler's Earlier Proposals

London, April 1.

Herr von Ribbentrop, who arrived in London late last night by air with other representatives of the German Government, called at the Foreign Office this morning accompanied by Dr. Dieckhoff, head of the political department of the German For- eign Office, and two secretaries,

He was received by the Foreign Secretary, Mr. Anthony Eden, and Lord Halifax to whom the German reply to the London draft proposals for dealing with the situation created by the reoccupa- tion of the demilitarized tone in deflance of the treatles of Lo- carno and Versailles was handed. The contents of the reply are not yet disclosed.

At the conclusion of their interview with the German dele- rates, Mr. Eden and Lord Halifax attended a meeting of the Ca- binet at which the documents communicated by Herr von Rib- bentrop were presented for examination.

Other matters before the Cabinet concerning the Rhineland problem include the programme for con- versations between the British, French and Belgian General Stams which has been decided to hold in accordance with paragraph three of the London draft pro- posals and the procedure to be, adopted in regard to the letter, draft of which was attached to the proposals and in which an official assurance is given by the British Government that they will take certain specled actions in the event of fallure of the effort of conciliation at which the London draft proposals aim.- British Wireless.
