Britain's Budget Year Reveals A Surplus

Regarded As A Splendid Achievement

The realised surplus of £2.340.702 which was revealed in the nation's accounts for the budget year which ended yesterday is regarded by the press as representing a splendid achievement, par- ticularly in view of the fact that included in the expenditure figure is an amount of £12.466,300 which has been placed to the Sinking Fund.
