(BY LONGSHOREMAN) "The Treight returns. received from the Harbour Office. during the 24 hours ended at 9 yesterday, show 4 considerably high tonnage movement, a large proportion of which being contri- buted by Norwegian ships.

The total tonnage of general cargo carried by vessels to the Colony

14,778 tons, with British steamers carrying 9,157

tona.

Through cargo for ports be- yond the Colony amounted to 57.076-tons, of which 12.991 tons were carried by British steamers.

Asiatic deck passengers entering into the Colony" during the 24 hours ended at 9 am yesterday were 978, of which 378 from British steamers.
