British Tonnage Up 39,134 Tons. In 1935
London, Feb. 3. A marked increase in shipbulid- ing, buih home and foreign, during the past year is indicated by the statistics issued to-day by Lloyd's Register of Shipping. New ton-"1 page launched throughout the world in 1935 reached 1,302,080, arid was greater by 34.8 per cent, thars the total for 1934.
British yards increased produc- tion by 39,134 tons, and on-Jan. 1 of this year they had in hand 743,086 tons of work, the largest quarterly Bgure recorded for eve years.
