Local Exhibition At Gloucester Hotel

The preview of the exhibition of paintings by Kaho Sonobe given yesterday afternoon on the roof garden of the Gloucester Hotel, and among the many dis- tinguished visitors to the Exhibi- tion were.HE. the Governor ac- companied by Mr. J. H. B. Lee, the Japanese Consul and Mrs. K. Mid- zusawa, Lady Shenton, the Hon. Mr.T. H. King, the Hon. Mr. N. L. Smith, the Hon. Bir Shou Son Chow and Commander and Mrs.. Hole.

Mr. Sonobe is a member of the Committee of Koza-sha (the Asso- clation of Artists), and was born in Klushu, Japan, in 1906 and is a graduate of the Tokyo Art Schöol.. He has exhibited his paintings for the past five years in the Annual, Empire Exhibition at Tokyo and is now in Hong Kong on his way back from Bangkok, where his paintings were exhibited under the auspices of the Art Association of Siani.
