League Sessions
Not Sensational
11
The 90th session of the League of Nations opened yesterday, but is not expected to produce any sensation. It is not likely that it can fulfil its tasks where the Italo-Ethiopian trouble is concerned, unless an armistice is declared.
34
The League, however, is unwilling to propose an armistice. because such a step will only be beneficial to Italy whom the League has stigmatised as the "Aggressor.”
The formal sessions belg devoted mainly to the survey of the steps already taken, and of possibilities of future action. Baron Aloisi Italy is represented at the Council meetings by who arrived at Geneva yesterday. A report states that it is prob able the Committee of Eighteen will appoint a small sub-com- mittee which will be charged to make enquiry into the effect of any
United States' decision reached that would affect sup- ply of oil to Italy.

NO DECISION EXPECTED The Committee of Thirteen will meet in the afternoon to discuss the Ethiopian question, but it is believed that the proceedings be purely academic and no decision be reacted.
Among the business will be the question of the breaking off of diplomatic relation between Uruguay and Russia, the Ital complaint against the three abuses by Abyssinia, and The Ethiopian request for investigation into the Italian indiscriminate bombing.
The Committee of Eighteen will discuss ou sanctions but success of the outcome will depend much on the British attitude. Reuter,
