September 6, 1935.
Dr. Cowan bequeathed £10,00 to the University of Edinburgh to be applied by the Benalus to en- large or otherwise improve the Students' Hostel, Cowan House: George Square. The freight returns, received from the Harbour Office during the 24 hours ended at
yesterday show a moderate ton- nage movement, a large proportion of which being made up by Brush ships.
The total tonnage of general cargo curried by vessels to the Colony was 3,300 tops. with British Steamers carrying 1,045 tons.
