In the Norwegian Veritas report for 1934, presented at a meeting held in Oslo, it was stated that the total shipbuilding contracts in 1934 amounted to 37. vessels ag gregating 221,000 tons gross, of which 11 were placed, in Norway, the tonnage being 21.000 tcus. and 28 abroad amounting to 200,000 tons. Passengers Returns Freight And Asiatic

"(BY LONGSHOREMAN). During the 24 hours ended at 9 a.m. yesterday, the freight returns, received from the Harbour Office show rairly high tonnage movement, a large proportion of which being made up by British ships.

The total tonnage of general cargo carried by vessels to the Colony wis 6,446 tons. with British steamers carrying 2,835 tona

Through cargo, for ports bé- yond the Colony amounted to 14,547 tons, of which 4,983 tons were carried by British steamers. Asiatic deck passengers entering into the Colony during the 24 hours, ended at 9 am yesterday were 624, of which 101 were from British steamers.
