An

English Doctor

writes :-

"I And that "Bisurated' Magnesia taken after most of my meals is the only thing that keeps me free from pain and discomfort, and I take it regularly. I often prescribe it for my patients; and have had very good results."

M.R.C.S., L.R.C.P.

(Signed) Dr. H. G, MA. THE English doctor is the most conservative medical man in the world, and when he not only recommenda but personally uses a remedy there can be no more con viscing proof of its efficacy. This doctor is but one of many who constantly advise the use of Bisurated' Magueala in all cases of indigestion. Most stomach trouble is caused by acidity, and the reason why Bisurated Magnesiá gives quick relief is that it in stantly neutralises excess acid and soothes, heals and strengthens the infamed stomach lining. Nothing could besimpler, safer or surer. If you suffer with indigestion

er stomach disorder of any kind put your faith in European science and make an end of your troubes by taking Elisurated Magnesia after eating or whenever pain is felt.

Paris Half-Season

Collections

"The half-season collections äre now being shown in Paris. Cha- mel is using light spotted woollens for trim tauormades. Shors, silmo skirts with"jack.is belted to a low waistline at the back and some play above the belt in the back, of jacket, blouse and dress

She maintains her bellef, in white pique to give freshness at neck, front and wrists. Fussy pockets and collars may be used to give femininity to plainly thi- Lored jackets.

Belts are decorative and make 'sharp lines of shade or brightness on the dress, as when a black belt goes on a light dress or a sharp bright colour is put on a light frock.

Afternoon frocks are simple and very well cut. The long, tight, tube-shaped skirt for afternoon is not made by Chanel... She restricts the length of afternoon ikirts to Just above the ankle. Long-atting alzeves and lightly draped neck- lines are usual.

In marocain, black, navy blue, there are some charming, wear- able frocks. A narrow gilt beit may be the only «trimming... on DAY? blue; on black there may be a dia. mond paste ornament.

Evening dresses at Chanel's are invariably well made and good in Une. From fitting hips the skirts swing wide. Low backs to the bodices are draped by yards and yards of tulle, which may be used alternately as a train or shoulder wrap.

In embroidered net, in dull black slipper satin, in white shiny satli and in hright red crepe, there are dresses" which any woman can wear with satisfaction.

The shaky back sequin dress sa included in this collection, and there is a dignified black velvet dinner dress with a long cape to match The same dress is also worn with a long cape of silver 10x,

KNITTED ENSEMBLES Annyblatt has made a collection of knitted ensembles which are. Entirely becoming to the young Bihn girl. In clear colours, 'ench as sinshine yellow, jade green and light blue, she has suits and pull- overs, all of which cling closely to the figure.

Her yarns are interesting. She goes to Scotland for many of them and talks with enthusinam ofiber Scotch, cachemires.

The dark colours for present wear 'are brown, red, green and grey. Skirt and jacket, or dress and jacket, ere lifted out of dark- ness into brightness by belt, but tons or little necktie in gay col

What is amazing, but true, is that you meet your best friends wearing the most difficult of all the dimeuit hats in these new » collections. To some women they must be as the hair shirt to the monk, a constant irritation which they devoutly hope is good for the soul,

Perched high, perched low, gior lously insecure over one ear, tilted cynically over the left eye while soaring behind, the new hats go on their way dangerousy but ga lantly.
