The chief surprise was the de- fat of the Club by "St. Joseph's College by one goal-scored by Qurbachan Singh while

the Lincolns could only share

the points with the Recreio, de- spite the laiter not being at full strength Owing 10 the inability of the Gosano brothers and Beitrao, their pivot, to turn put. The Police too. were lucky to get away with a point against the Fullers.

The Gunners' Derby ended in a draw of two goals all. Stonecut- ters were fucky in this respect. Lyeemun had the better of the argument right up to the middle of the second half when Stone- cutters staged a really magnificent comeback to equalise. Things looked bright" for Lyeemun when minutes play Reece after four opened the account. The same player followed up with another goal thanks to a weak clearance hair try Huggin. In the second Forbes and Edmunds scored for Stonecutters and after that they had all their work cut out to avold a defeat,

POLICE DISAPPOINT

A feature of the game between Police and Fusiliers was the splendid goal keeping of Rowlands who in the course of the match effected several miraculous saves. Fusillers were decidedly unlucky not to have got away with both points as on the day's play there was hardly any weak link in the whole. team. But, the same could not be said of the Police who for

Bome then deteriorated. It

also the dus to McHardy, between silcks that the soldiers were un- able to score more. Blackburn and Gough were the pick of the defence while Stevens stood out head

above his and shoulders team mates.

The soldiers' forward line worked with machine-like preci- sion. their inside trio-Harrison, Sullivan and Talbot being very effective with their short passing. Keneghan was good in the pivotal position.

KOWLOON OUTFLAYED Ou played for the greater part of the game. Kowloon left the feld with a.only two-goal deficit. in their match with B. Lancs, who had only themselves to blame in not being able to add more, to the. score.

Kowloon were kept on, the der fensive "most of the game but withal they found time now and again to stage som? dangerous

.ralds.

The only player of no,e in the Kow.con team was. White whose speed made up for part of the Kowloon's backward game. Lawton was a great polléeman at centre half. He had the Kow- loon inside trio bottled up and any raids that came his way were speedily done away with. Band- ford was in form and scored the two goals but dilly dallying robbed the soldiers of many chances, in adding to their score. Boyes "played a

game for the Kowloon in goal.

TÜIS WEEK'S PROSPECTS There are five senior down for decision this week end, the most interesting of which will undoubtedly be that between the Redre.o and St. Joseph's Co-lege.

The College have been playing well for the last two games, They have a well balanced defence and comparing the teams I believe the Cullege

are a little better. Of their forwards only Albert Ward is a dangerous man and all their raids are inevitably schemed by him.

The Recreio possesses a very fast and nippy forward line. Al- hough small in stature they more than make up for this by their speed. The Gasano brothers and Beltrão" are all donning the uni- form again and this Will strengthen

the team consider- ably. St. Joseph's will have to go all out to win though I rather Chink the game will end in a

draw.

SHANGHAI WIN AGAIN

Good Game At The K. C. C.

At the K.C.C. green yesterday, Shanghai won the second of the three games they played since their arrival in the Colony by beating A. Hyde-Lay's rink by the narrow margin of orle shot,

It was a closely contested game and both rinks had equal chances of winning. There was no parti- cularly brilliant blay, but what made the game so interesting was the keeness of competition.

F. V. V. Ribeiro (3) was the out-- standing player. His driving and drawing had J. W. Brierley, his opposite, completely, overshadowed J. C. M. Lopes (Skip) was in the limelight for the Shanghai landers.
