JORDAN HANDICAP The Jordan Handicap (1st. sec- tion for D Class ponies has a large entry amongst which there are many old favourites, Boxing Eve is my selection, and I think h can just make it though the distance Is rather long for him. INTER-SCHOOL
AQUATICS
Revived After Eleven Years
After a lapse of 11 years the Inter-Schoo's Aquatic Meet was revived again when at the V.R.C. Bath "yesterday after- noon the Schools turned out in full force to vie with each other for Championship honours. There were severa; interest- ing and exciting finishes especially in the relay races.
In the Medley Relay. Wah Yan easily romped home win- by St. ners while the 200 yards Free Style Relay Joseph's after a well judged race swum by their four men,"

From the start the contest developed into a struggle be- .. tween St. Joseph's College and Wah Tan and in the last but one event St. Joseph's College was leading Wah Yan by 31 Style Relay- points to 30: The last event-200 yards Free
created a great deal of excitement. A win or a second place for St. Joseph's College would automatically have given them the Championship and as it turned out to be they came yards ahead of Wah Yan to win the championship with seven paints to spare.

St. Joseph's Collège the individual championship. S.

This race ler Aussies should re- sult in another easy victory for the champion Ab!: Amazon, and if the ather is good I will not be at all surprised to see him break the record. Of the other ponies Bag- Tor is the best with" Australian Goldsmith. (Black) and
Boy (Deitz).
"
DOUBLE TENTH PLATE The 4th, event of the programme is he Double Tenth Plate, and a great race is expected provided As the Liberty Bay does not start. race is only 5 furlongs I select Oak Bay as he is a very fast surt- er, and will be taken care of by Frost. This pony holds the record for this distance. Other starters o give him a race will be Soldier of Britain (Deltz). and King's Justice (Butter),
WATCH BRIGHT VIEW The Nashan Handicap for B class pontes is the first leg of the Double Event but I do not expect VLKY many starters. Nacaroni with Black on the saddle should start favourite despite fils carry- ing top-weight. Ribble Frost) Is having his first outing after the summer and ought to be near the inish. Another dangerous pony if It rains Is Bright View (Llang) as he likes the heavy going, and has
a very light weight to carry.
HELMONT STAR:
In the 2nd, section for D class ponies
I expect
Belmont Sar
+ Black) to repeat his victory, but
I am very afraid of 17th. Septem- ber (Frost). whlie Lucky Strike (Pih) ought to be in the running.
CLOSE FINISE? The Austin Plate for C Class ponies will have a large field and a cices finish is expected. I still selec: High Speed (Pih› 10 win despite his poor performance the last meeting. Monoplane (Pan) is a very riable bet as this pony. is very consistant, and is fit at the moment. Other ponies that should be close are Jungle Jim (Llang) and Lemberg. (Black). -
ANOTHER EVEN RACE The Meeting closes with the Cantala Handicap for- B class Aussies. This race though hav- ing only seven entries should provide a good finish. I select
win to Halcyon (Black)
with High (Frost) and Snowy River Finance (Pih) to follow in this - order.
I will give my final selections in to-morrow's issue of the ""Daily free"
