Silver prices rose 1/8 yesterday for both deliveries, the quotations being 29 5/16 for Ready and Fur- ward. Silver advices attributed the rise to small offerings and a little speculative buying. After the official fixing the market was luclined to be easier.

The London/New York cross rate was quoted at 493 and the New York/London rate was changed at 494).
