Suver prices dropped 1/16 yer- terday for both deliveries, the quotations being 29 1/18 for Ready and 29 for Forward, Silver ad- vices indicated America as having bought. Speculators and China sold. The market closed ceady. After the official fixing the mar ket was firmer and business was done at 1/16 over the quoted rates.
