Fallowfield, which has just paid a visit to New York, is order- ed to leave Halifax, Nova Scotia, October 4 for Portsmouth, where she should arrive 10 days later to recommission. Her pre- sent ship's company joined on March 23, 1933. Captain Fallow field, who has commanded her throughout the present commis sion, will be succeeded by Captain J. H. Edelsten, who since April has been supervising the comple tion of the cruiser Galatea at the works of the Scott's Shipbuild-) ing and Engineering Company. Greenock. The sloop Hastings, which ran aground on Shabkutb Reef, off Suakin on June 11, while on passage to Port Sudan, has not yet been refloated, although efforts to salve her are continuing.
