A False Report Paymaster Colonel Kwan Wing of the Canton Air Force sent ä denial to those Hong Kong news- papers which printed the report that he or any of his staff in his department had absconded. Those vernacular papers stated that one Mr. Kwan of the Air Force had disappeared with public funds of the Air Force.
In his letter Mr. Kwan said that he had been away on leave for some time, and that gave rise to rumours that a certain paymaster of the Air Force had run away with public funds. Most of the papers which published the rumour re- tracted the account.
