FINAL
Title Retained By Lawson Little
London, May 23.
The final of the British Amateur Golf tournament at St. Annes end- ed in a victory for the holder, W. Lawson 'Little, 1-0 over the 38-year- old Dr. Tweddell, who almost col- lapsed owing to the strain on the last green and had to be 'assisted to the clubhouse. Lawson Little had to fight very hard and use all his skill before beating his op- ponent.
This feat of winning two years in succession has only been achieved before by Harold Hilton in. 1900-1 and by Horace Hutchison In 1886-7.-

Soviet Russia persecution, which, as the letter points out, conforms to the de- Ilberate intention of the Sovie: Government and based on the statements by Stalh as well as the decisions by the Commurist party concerning the "necessity of an inexorable war against re- ligion."
