Stunt Flier Collides With Maxim Gorky
Moscow, May 18.
"Forty eight persons, comprising the crew of eleven and thirty six passengers, were killed when the Maxim Gorky, the world's largest geroplane, crashed near the Moscow airport after colliding with a smaller machine to-day.
The official account says that the Maxim Gorky was Aying over the central aerodrome at 12.45 p.m. with thirty-six employees of the Central Aerodynamic Insti- tute as passengers, accompanied by an instructional. machine belonging to the Institute and piloted by M. Binguin.
Despite stringent orders, M. Blaguin started stunting close to the Maxim Gorky at a height of 2,250 feet," and he was just finishing the loop when his plane struck the wing of the Maxim Corky, which was immediately plunged into a bad crash to earth,
