Silver prices dropped yesterday to the extent of 3/8 for Ready and Forward, the quotations being 93 and 35-3/18 respectively. Silver advices reported India as having sold and China as having bought. Speculators operated both ways. The market closed uncertain with business done at 3/16 under the quoted rates.

In America the rate was quoted at 77 but business was reported as high as 78 for spot.

The New York-London' cross rate closed easy at 492.
