Agreement Almost Complete

London, April 3. I learn that, after protracted negotiations, arrangements for the sale of the famous Jonker diamond for a sum approximating £150,000 have been practically completed, writes a New York correspondent. The price originally asked for was £300,000.

General Tsai Ting Kai, the out-hero of the Sino-Japanese War of

Two Chinese were killed right and one seriously injured, as the result of an accident which occurred at the 12-mile stone on Castle Peak Road, New Territories, shortly after 10 am, on Saturday when lorry No. 3897, in taking a bend, left the road and plunged from a height of over 100 feet into the sea.

It appears that the victims were all on the lorry which was on its way to the New Territories with a load of sand.

After the accident, the driver of the lorry disappeared and, his whereabouts were not know up to a late hour yesterday.

concerning the buying and selling of a child was heard by Mr. J. H. B. Lee in Kow- loon Magistracy' on Baturday when four Chinese women and a man were charged with taking part in the sale of a 13-month old boy, Kwal. The fourth and the fifth defendants were also charged with taking part in the sale of Lam-Luk-mut, a six week-old girl.
