Augusta, Georgia, April 8. Continuing to display the same magnificent form which featured the early rounds, Gene Barazen to day brilliantly won the Masters' Golf Tournament in the play-of tle with Craig Wood, aggregating 144 for the 36 holes.
Craig Wood required five more strokes, although he too played very well but could never equal Sarazen's amazing consistency.
Sarazen averaged fours while
well with some clever drives which left Kong standing. He had little difficulty in annexing
the next three games.
Both players relied too much on their "safety tactics" with the result that most of the duels were directed from the baseline. Oc- casionally "H.D." came up to the
net and towards the end both men sent drives along the side line.
By virtue of this victory "K.D." will now meet his cousin "8.A" in' the semi-final.
LUDENDORFF'S BIRTHDAY
Craig Wood went round in five Tributes To
over fours.
The winner showed vaster su- periority on the green and putted better than ever before. He com- pleted the first 18 holes in 71, as against Craig Wood's 75 while they did the next nine holes in 36 and 40 respectively. Sarazen's second half score was 73, his worst nine boles being the last, which cost him 37 strokes. Craig Wood re- quired 14 strokes for the final 18 holes, one stroke better than his flist round.- Reuter.

London, Mar. 94. Bromwich Albion duly qualified for the Cup Final before the largest crowd ever seen on the Stoke ground, writes a correspon dent.
William Walker, the Wednesday chief, was looking on. I talked to him afterwards and he left me with the impression he was feeling perturbed about the character of the football we are likely to see at Wembley on April 27.
That some of the crowd also thought they had been watching a game which got out of hand after the interval was reflected by the hooing mixed with the cheers when the teams left the Beld.
Both the Albion and Bolton have an envishle reputation for aleau football, but I must say there more was afraid the moments when I match would be marred by march, ing orders for more than one play
