Highlands.

Alor Star, March 18. An ambitions and progressive building programme is proposed by the 'Kedah Government

The authorities, always alive to the needs of the State and its people, plùn among other things the construction of a sanatorium in the Cameron's" Highlands.

Another project which should find favour with members of the Ruling House, and other high State officials is the building of a new Kedah House in Northam' Road on the present site..

Other public works proposed in clude new Government Offices at Alor Star, between the Balei Besar and Bee Chun Studio.

To make room for the now building the Chief Inspector's quarters, Fire Brigade premises, and the house occupied by the late Tunku Ahmad will be demolished:
