TURKS HEAD DOOMED
Famous Landmark In Old London

Every year a list of such super- fluous houses is drawn up. This year comes the turn of the ""Turks Head" in Wapping Street. The "Turks Head" has existed for over

CLUB
Hold Annual Meeting
A
The annual general meeting ....of. the Kowloon Bowling "Green "Club was held at the Club's premises at King's Park yesterday, when Mr. B. Wylie presided over farge gathering. Commenting on the past year's activities, the Chairman said: "When the his- tory of the Club is written, last year shall have a special signifi- cance, in that it will mark the definite onset of the glacial period. In that connection, our heartlest thanks are due to those members who designed and carried out the construction of the cooling plant." The Report
The general committee reported, in part, that "the trade depression at present affecting the Colony is reflected in our Working Account for the year. Bar Sales are dowit by nearly fifteen hundred dollars compared with 1933, and Scbscrip- tions also show a fall of some four hundred dollars, Under the loss the small circumstances
the year's shown of $148.65 on working is considered to be quite satisfactory. The Club's proper- ties have been very fully depre- clated. $1.520.00 being written off under this head."
