Address By Mr. H. C. Macnamara

NAPOLEON AND JEROME BENTHAM

The speaker at the weekly Rotary Club tiffin held at the Hoog Kong Hotel yesterday was Mr. H. C. Mamamara, the well-known, barrister, who spoke on “Law and fis Prophets.”.

In the course of his interesting address, Mr. Macnamara dealt with the law reforms made by Napoleon Bonaparte and Jerome Bentham who, he said, were largely responsible for the reforma- tion of the law of their respective countries.

Mr. M. K. Lo presided and there was a fairly largo gathering present, including the following guests:—Mr, J. H. R. Hance, Mr. Ng Kan Leong, Mr. Zea Yại Vin, Dr. F. M. Graca Ozorio, Mr. E. W. G. Malcom, Mr. G. Hyslop of Canton and G. G. Chen of Nari- king University.
