"Y" Ladies Win Pearce Cup

In the final of the Seven-A-Bide Ladies Hockey Tournament for the Pearce Cup, the "Ladies de feated the St. Andrew's Ladies at King's Park by the only goal scored in the extra time added to play.

As evidenced by the scoreless play during the full-time, the match was very evenly contested and exciting throughout.

Miss Dalziel, playing at Centre- forward for the "Y" played an ex- cellent game, and the goal scored during the Ave" minutes extra time was through her, who in a solo ef- fort ran through the defence, to hit the ball out of the goal-keeper's reach into the net.

Miss Dalziel, incidentally scored the winning goal in each of her team's three encounters that gave

them the trophy..

At the conclusion of this game, Mrs. T. E. Pearce presented the 40 Cup to the victors.
