Moonlight Bathing

As the afternoon section con- tained no unft riders a high pace, was maintained by these leaving Fanling .the Ferry at 1.30 p.m. was reached vis Talpo at 2.40 p.m. and to permit of arrival at Castle Peak Cafeteria at 4 p.m. a detour Was made to Lok-ma-chau where a fine bathing aite was discovered at the small stone pier at the road's end. The Sham-Chun River at this point sweeps round a berd and is approximately 60 feet in width. The party were in the saddle again at 3.15 p.m. after a brief halt, and the Cafeteria was reached as scheduled. After tea in order to finish up the ride by moonlight a portion of the after- noon's ride was retraced the section turning for home near Pok- wal. A moonlight "bathe at Castle Peak Bay provided the only in- cident and halt on the homeward run, and the party reached Head- quarters (23 "Taipo Road) for chat, etc. at 8.15 p.m; having covered 80 trouble-free miles
