Berlin, sept. 12. German importers of cotton and yarns are eagerly awaiting the decision of the English exporters respecting the German offer re- cently handed over to the English. delegation that' visited Berlin. whereby the Germans would pay o'r outstanding debts. In twelve

An Interesting feature of these negotiations is that they reveal that the German indebtedness for Imported cotton goods does not aggregate £500,000 as generally asserted but only .2 mililor Reichs- marks or £267,000, that is a little more than half.

The British authorities explain that the lower amount refers to and yarns only imported cotton

bus omits the claims for deliveries of cotton fabric. According to the statements made by the delegates. the German importers offer to pay off all arrears in twelve monthly instalments, the unpaid portion to bear an interest of 4

per cent.
