NINETY PONIES IN MACAO

During the races, a good many ponies were sent over to the Portuguese Colony for grazing and I understand that at one time or another, there were as many as 90 odd ponies in Macao: All of them are on the bat alde and trainers will have some job to get them into condition. There is no exaggeration in saying that it was due to the good environment that all the ponies had summered so well.

·

TINY STAR NOT FANCIED Let us turn to the main event, namely, The Sub-Griffins Autumn Plate. I expect there are many people who think that Tiny Star should annex this race without any dificulty in view of his past performances but I am afraid that his chances for the main event are very remote due to the heavy

penalties imposed and in fact if

he does run into a place, it will certainly surprise me.
