TENNIS NOTES

Chinese Win For Ninth Year

THE CYCLING CLUB

(I TOP LITF) Although the bad weather did not permit of any tennis games being played during the past week, one very important match was decided the meeting between the Chinese Recreation Club ang Club de Recrelo in the "B" division, team Although the Portuguese were expected to put up a stubborn fight, the Chinese had no difficulty in winning. conceding but two of the nine sets played.

The Chinese Recreation have thus won the "B" division shield for the ninth year in succession,

The team has thus gone through its programme of seven matches without losing a single point, and has the impressive record of win ping 55 sets--an average" of a Traction under eight sets a match, with only 7 sets scored against them

South China are the team that has caused many a surprise. A couple of years ago, they were a force to reckon with in the "B" ›divistorf "but I see that of the six matches played, they have lost five while they only managed to draw the remaining, one!
