The final act ot the drama through which Austria has been! passing during the last few days, took place on Saturday when the mortal remains of the murdered
Chancellor, Dr. Dollfuss, were laid to rest. The ceremony provided a spectacle which has never been been seen in Vienna stace the funeral of Emperor Franz Joseph.
Even on Friday most houses dis- played flags draped with crepe but Saturday the demonstrative signs of national mourning ap- peared to be endless. All public and almost all private buildings tw black flags and pennants.

The entire nation seems to be profoundly affected by the shadow of the tragedy. Steps had been taken to assure order and calm or the, Chancellor's last Journey.
The Volkshälle was closed for the public, on midday when the coffin was removed to a large open spacer front of Rathaus and there again lay in state. The guards of honour consisted of members and students "of the "Francobabajuvarla " corps to which Dollfuss belonged, the oft- cers of the Federal army and the police.
