Silver:-Conditions on the river market are unchanged.

Kubber-Prices are firm. Con- siderable buying by the Trade combined with local speculative buying kept the market steady. We would recommend buying - on 2ny dips.

Wheat: While

The Bazaars supported the All- ver market in London yesterday. but apparently insuficiently to sales for account of China although the business done was small. Prices were lowered 1/8 for both deliveries, Ready at 20 7/16 and Forward at 20. 9/16. The closing tone was apparently steady. In New York the rate was 48.65 and the market dull.

At the opening of the market in New York Sterling was quoted at 5.041. the rate rising 1/4 to a clos- mg rate of 5.04)
