Asia Landa, Limited, has received the following-report from their New York correspondents, E. A. Pierce & Co. The labour position is almost the sole topic of discussion and we think that this situation is responsible for most the selling: So far, we can see no signs of stabilisation today.

Wheat: Weak in sympathy with stocks. The latest North-American statistics were more bullish. Receipts were light and there was & better milling demand.

Cotton: Selling prior to the passage of the Bankhead Bill was rather general and this caught stop-loss orders. After the passage of the Bill, genera "the market rallied and then selling re-appeared, including some from the

South.

Silver: Early in the day trade was quiet, awaiting the outcome of the vote by the House on the Silver Bills The postponement of the Feisinger Bill has had little or no effect, the Trade apparently being more interested in the outcome of the action of the Dies Bill, which passed the House after the close of the market.
