Government's delay in widening the road between A. King's slipway and the South China Bathing Shed was the subject of criticism at the annual meeting of the Hongkong Tramways Limited "yesterday, when both Mr. A. H. Compton who presid- ed at the meeting, and, Sir Henry Pollock touched on the question.

The Chairman's report revealed a good year's working, it being of interest that January 25, 1933, which was Chinese New Year's Day, 'was a record day for the Company when they carried 162.947 passengers, exclusive of monthly ticket hold-
