SEEN AT THE SECOND LONDON DRESS SHOW
London, Sept. 12, Yesterday Captain Molyneux showed his winter collection of! models specially. designed for London.
This is distinct from the Paris collection. Here are some of the main points:-
Coloured gloves with every even- ing gown." These are made in velvet, moire and other fabrics.
A great deal of pink and black or black and white for both day and evening wear.
Brown and flame, brown and yellow and two shades of blue are other "colour combinations.
One evening dress was of finest black chiffon appliqued by hand with black lace of spiderweb fra- gility. It was worn over a flesh- plak slip...
Fish-tail trains on many gowns, Very narrow shoulder straps are a feature here.
++
One-long evening coat of black velvet clung to the figure and was trinimed with fur and had the appearance of a dress.
bere
A great deal of moire was used,
for dresses, coat linings gloves and accessories.
Dar clothes were neat and most wearable.
SLIM AND SHORT
Skirts are slim and shorter than those shown by most designers
and suit the slender English woman to perfection.
Three-piece suits {re smart, practical and are popular with
buyers.
They consist of neat skirt, coat and well-cut cape.
Scottish and English tweeds an Scottish and English tweeds and woollens in soft, light tex tures are used almost exclusively
DETAILS
Bangles of composition which looked like rather dull glass were worn with both day and evening frocks. They were made in colours to pick up" the tone of either waisbelt or gloves.
They are always worn in tours, and are made on the lines of heavy slave bangles.

Muffs of the flat, soft pillow variety were shown with suits and overcoats.

THEATRE FASHIONS
THE WONDER GOWN
"Divinely tall and fair," Mar- Jorie Brooks is going to make a first-class sensation
in to-night's new play, "Nice Goings On," at the Strand, according to my fas- hon expert...
For. in one scene, her slender ness will be sheathed in shim- mering coat-of-mail sequins whose new and subtle aluminiuth shado is even more fascinating than the usual definite brilliance of silver. FOLDED WINGS
HARROW HATS NOW After the bowler and the boater we now have a new type of hat for women, which is exactly like the curious broad-brimmed straw hats so well known in Harrow.
I have also seen some amusing hew necklaces that look like rub- ber tyres, with bracelets to match.
There are some lovely evening wraps in velvet, long ones and short ones, gay ones and sombre ones, with and without fur stoles For, collars..
The most reasonable ones to Indulge in de this time of the year are undoubtedly those with which you can wear a fur or not; as you please, or as the thermo- meter dictated...
This is usually quite easy to arrange on either a long or d short wrap if you choose a model with a gracefully draped collar. and have your fox fur quite separate.
Some of the more luxurious have two foxes, one black and one white, or a blue and a white, or, for a very subtle colour scheme, a blue and a beige.
This skin-tight gown, which In contrast to all the crisp

But when Marforie turns ahe reveals a back bare to the waist, and just framed by folded "wings" of the softly black plumage.
This is certainly the most strikingly beautiful gown to be seen on or off the stage at the moment.
