Yesterday, the 20th instant, the the Nivas revised their limit for West Coast to 1. 42. This reduc- tion, combined with a temporarily steadier sterling exchange, made prospects of business with West Coast markets look more feasible than has been the case aince the sterling reaction which set in on the 13th. To-day's weaker, ex- doubt no change market will cause another period of inactivity, unless the Nivas again reduce their limit.

Asia Landa, Limited, has received the following report from their New York correspondants, E A. Pierce & Co. Conditions remain unchanged. Outside interest has been negligible, with the trading element simply marking time. We do not regard the dullness, however, as altogether unfavourable.

היי

Wheat: Frices were held within narrow limits a dull market. Both the local and Winnipeg receipts are light.

Cotton Prices lower on hedging and long liquidation sales.. Ben- timent was roixed. The Ten-cent Loan Programme is expected to check any urgent selling. However, it looks we though the market needs some new stimulus.

Silver: Market opened irregular on London advices but later, steadied. up on the continued strength of the gold market. Business Done: $30,000 shares.
