The market closed at lunch time with sollers at 1/5 September, 1/5.5/32 October and 1/53/18 November, buyers probably at 1/5.5/32 for near, 1/5.3/18 October and 1/54 November.

Wheat: Secretary Wallace's statement that price fixing and infation would not permanently cure the present economic conditions; brought about liquidation.
Cotton: At the opening, offerings caught stop-loss orders, forcing prices downward. The Trade was the principal buyer." "
Silver: The lack of a definite development on inflationery demands induced considerable liquidation.
