LUCY GLITTERS SPRINTS HALF

HALF MILE

Impressive Gallop Yesterday Morning By Lady Peel's Candidate

SUBS DOING SLOW WORK

Lucy Glitters, Lady Peel's Australian pony, was sent over a fast half mile yesterday morning, with Benny Proulx on the saddle, and the pony clocked 59 seconds, with a last quarter of 28.

Amongst those on the rail to watch this excellent per- formance, was His Excellency the Governor, Sir Willism Peel.

Lucy Glitters is in tip-top condition and should have no difficulty in winning a race during the coming season.

Work generally was on the slow side as will be seen from the times given below. Some of the subscription griffins finish- ed strongly, principally Warrington, Golden Dragon, Hey Tor, Vigilance, and Burgomaster:

Trentbridge is now back on the course together with King's Justice and other ponies from the Dynasty" stable, but none of their candidates were tried out."
