EX-PRESIDENT LOOKS TEN YEARS YOUNGER

PALO ALTO, Cal. (By Mail). Settling down into private life after more than a decade and u halt of eventful public service, former. President and Mrs. Hoover are finding their days far from dull.

They're thriving under a routine less waighed down by responsibili ties than those characterizing their years in the White House and in public life preceding.

LONDON, May 29. The Queen held the fourth Court of the season at Buckingham Palace Her Majesty was led last night. through the ballroom to the throne by the Prince of Wales.

She wore an exquisite gown of

The former president's checks lace-embroidered have become ruddy; the wrinkles groothed out of his face. He looks 10 years younger. At present, he is declared by intimates to have just one plan in mind; to rest up, to regain his health and to laugh

This last, is reflected in the numerous excursions here and there into the old mining arens of the west, known to him in his early days as a mine engineer and consultant.

Mrs. Hoover makes frequent shopping trips to San Francisco; although Mr. Hoover is not so often seen in the city in which the formerly maintained an office.

Masses of pink roses added a touch of beauty to the gracileur of the State RoomIS.

MR. JUSTICE LUXMOORE'S SEVERE COMMENTS.

London. The Duke of Leinster was the debtor in three judgment summonses which came before Mr. Justice Luxmoore in the Chancery Division.
