Disregarding the lack of activity we think the List acts well, there being virtually no liquid stion. Wheat closed stronger. Cotton ruled relatively quiet. Tokyo, March 13.—In view of the stout opposition of traders, the two silk bills one pnwiding for -the control of raw silk exports and the other for the establishment of the Japan Sericultural Company may be shelved by the Seiyukai and carried by the House of Representu- tives.

The Export Control Bill features the centralisation of the export trade to the Japan Sericultural Company. Reelars wilt, not be, allowed to export or sell to export houses except through the new. Company, The only exception will be direct export by guilde and in- dividuals who have already been doing direct basincas. The Japan Soricultural Company Bill stipu- lates that the new Company should have ал authorised capital of Y-40,000,000, including Yio,000,000 Governmetit suiscription, and that its shareholders should be inter ested in sericulture, and approved by the Government.
