Jardine's Apprenticeship. Mr. D. R. Jardine's skillna captain, one of the main factors in our retrieving the Ashes, is the reward of a long period of de- votion.
Fifteen years ago, he and his cousin W. M. Leggatt then the Win chester fast bowler, now captain of the Army cricket eleven, were the only players worthy of the name on the school's side.
