INDIANS' REVERSE IN SECOND DIVISION
The Indian R.O. lost three valuable points in the second divi- son when they were at home to Craigengower and this will pro- bably mean that the destination of the shield will lie between Craigengower, the HOC and the Kowloon C.C., all of whom are now in a better position than the Indians. The University went down to the Royal Engineers and Signals at Sookinpoo, while the Police are asserting themselves by adding another vic tory to their list, this time at the expense of the Navy.

In the other match M. W. Lo is favourite. ~ Of the two contenders Cassumbhoy is likely to qualify but as, unfortunately, his left hand is hurt, Iu Tak Cheuk's prospects of meeting his clubmate have be come greater. Lo's fine perform ance against Tam Yoc Fong leads me to believe that he is still dim- cult to beat, so that I shall be much surprised if he fails to enter the semi-final
Development in Open Doubles,
By the end of the week, the Open Doubles will have reached the semi- final stage. The most remarkable development in this event is the strong challenge offered by Comdr Packer and Comdr.
