The Italian Convent School, Caine Road, bald their annga! prize distribution and concert at the school yesterday evening. In her report the Headmistress remarked that the school had at tained an enrollment of 507 pupils, the highest recorded since the schools inception,-in 1880.
The occasion was honoured by the presence of Lady Peel, wife of H. E. Sir William Peal, the Governor, and the Right Rev. Bishop Valtorta. In school hall was a happy scene many parents of the pupils and friends being present.
A delightful concert preceded the prize distribution in which the school children showed remarkable dramatic talent and musical ability. The feature of the programme was the pianoforte selection by little Miss Annette Chen, age 8 years. This little player was not tall enough to reach the pedals and bad to be assisted into the chair!
