The race for the 9th Ladies' Chanipionship, which was resailed yesterday resulted as follows →→

The first Boxing tournament of the season organised by the Hong Kong Boxing Association will take place at Leo Theatre to-morrow night.. According to

the pro- gramme, which is given below, no lewer than six bouts have been armaged, and the main event will be the Heavyweight Championship hatween A.B. Judgo (H.M.S. Whitshed) and A.B. Foley (HMS Championship of the Colony, the at the net, H.D. drove so well that | Ailsa (Mrs. 8. G.

Two other bouts of eight rounds duration are also to be fought, one in the Heavyweights and the other in the Middleweights. In the form er, A. B. Shreeve (H.M.9, Keppel) will fight A.B. Long (H.M.S. Med way) and in the latter A.B. Frag got (H.M.B. Berwick) will match gainst A, B. Christie (HMS. Medway).

H. D. Bujaba yesterday on Armed recent reports on his im provement at Singles by nearly de- feating his cousin, S.A., in the second round of the Open Singles

final score in the latter's favour being 3-6, 6-3, 6-4. Those who saw him in action wore unanimous that H.D. played bis best game for many years, and if he had just Prossed his cousin at the stage when he was loading by 4-3 in the final set, it might have proved to his benefit. As matters stood, B. A. rallied at that important stage; and just managed to outplay his doubles partner.

S.A. made a good start by taking lend of 3-1. H.D. played magni fcently after this, and virtually outplayed his more experienced cousin in all departmente of the game. He employed side-line shots with telling effect, and delighted those present by sending over a con- sistent barrage of forehand drives, which found the corners of the court and by deep placements with his. backhand, which likewise ob- viously troubled S.A. His bril- liant play earned for him the set at 6-3, and he went on to win the first game of the second set, thus taking six games at a stretch.
