First of all tonnea Ng Sze Kwong, who holds the record as champion For the most number of tùnés and for the longest consentive period, which brilliant performance be Inchieved in 1918-1920. Since the event started in 1912, two men have won it three years in succession, viz.: II. A. Nisbet 1912-14, and S. E. Green 1013-17. Honda comes second for the most number of years, enpturing the title four thues, in all, though never twice in socassion, his years of BUCCESS being 1924, 1920, 1928 and 1930. S. A. Rumjahn won it, twice, in 1027 and 1932, while the others, Capt. O'Callaghan, M. W. Lo and C.. A. L. Rujahn, claim a year each.

It is admittedly a difficult feat to win a championship at the first attempt. At Wimbledon, the home of lawo nis, only a few men have done this among them being Wm. T. Tilden, Gerald Patterson and worth Vinea. Here, there are throw whi hava succeeded, H. A. Night T. Honda, and Capt. O'Callaghan,

The race for the 9th Ladies' Chanipionship, which was resailed yesterday resulted as follows →→

was:-1, Iyemun Beacon (P.) Cust Rook Mark Boat (8.); 3, Channel Rocks (S.). Distance 7.7 miles.

The first Boxing tournament of the season organised by the Hong Kong Boxing Association will take place at Leo Theatre to-morrow night.. According to

the pro- gramme, which is given below, no lewer than six bouts have been armaged, and the main event will be the Heavyweight Championship hatween A.B. Judgo (H.M.S. Whitshed) and A.B. Foley (HMS Championship of the Colony, the at the net, H.D. drove so well that | Ailsa (Mrs. 8. G.

Foley, who has just arrived from home, has also a big repactation, having fought for the Champion ship at Crystal Palace and already won a Fleet Championship. This bout is scheduled for fifteen rounds, and no doubt a keen and hard fight will be seen.

Two other bouts of eight rounds duration are also to be fought, one in the Heavyweights and the other in the Middleweights. In the form er, A. B. Shreeve (H.M.9, Keppel) will fight A.B. Long (H.M.S. Med way) and in the latter A.B. Frag got (H.M.B. Berwick) will match gainst A, B. Christie (HMS. Medway).

final score in the latter's favour being 3-6, 6-3, 6-4. Those who saw him in action wore unanimous that H.D. played bis best game for many years, and if he had just Prossed his cousin at the stage when he was loading by 4-3 in the final set, it might have proved to his benefit. As matters stood, B. A. rallied at that important stage; and just managed to outplay his doubles partner.

S.A. made a good start by taking lend of 3-1. H.D. played magni fcently after this, and virtually outplayed his more experienced cousin in all departmente of the game. He employed side-line shots with telling effect, and delighted those present by sending over a con- sistent barrage of forehand drives, which found the corners of the court and by deep placements with his. backhand, which likewise ob- viously troubled S.A. His bril- liant play earned for him the set at 6-3, and he went on to win the first game of the second set, thus taking six games at a stretch.
