London, Nov. 3.-Practically :all the leading British actors and ac trosses have decided not to appear oo the stage with any one who is not a member of the actorg.trade Enion, British Equity.

The ultimatuin has the backing' of the vast majority of tho mem- bers of the profession. Among those who have helped to draft its terms are f. Leslie Henson, Mr. Godfrey Tearlo, Mr. Fisher White, Dame Mr. Whitty, Miss Maric Burke, Miss Evelyn Layo and a score of other well-known people.

Prominent managora, like Sir Nigel Playfair and Mr. Maurice Brown, are said to favour the aims actors' and objects of the new union.
