The champion I.R.C. team narrowly averted defeat at the hands of the Civil Service team on Saturday when, after being dismissed for the mediocre total of 70 they just managed to scrape home by 8 runs. Richardson and Reed routed the Indiana, enchi bowler taking & cheap wickets, while for the Indians Pareira and Minu again did the damage,
The T.R.C. junior eleven had a similar narrow victory, defeat- ing tho R.A.B.C. by 7 ruas.
On the Club ground, the H. K.C.C. draw with the United Services in their friendly engagement. E. Mitchell (70) and sub- Lt.: Carver (00) were the outstanding batsmen, while A.C. Beck bagged 5 wickets for 53.
A. D. Lowson, playing for the Club second string against the Recreio team at King's Park, bowled magnificantly in taking wickets for 21, and enabled the Club team to win by 20 runs.
The K.C.C. Brat eleven had no difficulty in defeating Craigen- gower on the latter's ground. Lay (30) and Perry (52) were in good form with the bat for K.C.O. Abbas was the most success- ful bowlor for the home team, taking 3 wickets for 35. .
