GENEVA, July 13. THE General Committee of the Disarmament Conference adopted, by a vote of 41 to 2, the resolution drafted by Sir John Simon, Britain's representative, and M. Benes, of Czecho-Blovakia, which welcomes the proposals put before the nations by President Herbert Hoover of the United States for new reductions in art ments and rules of warfare. Only Germany and Russia voted in opposition to the resolution. There were eight absentee delegates.
