The Rubber market continues quiet with United Kingdom stocks shoving a further decrease of 702 tons. The Industrial market shows an all round improvement, and most quotations have been marked up under buying enquiry. Straits Traders especially have experienced

sharp advance with good demand and very little scrip available, while the tone of the market generally has been distinctly firm, Amongst loans, a fair amount of British 5 per cent. War Loan has been sold in exchange for local Loans, and there are good buyers for all issues at the higher levels. -'

Mining. There has been very. little doing in the more speculative lucal counters, but Hong Fatts have been placed at 26 cents, andi- Fenawats al cents, while Kinta Tju Dredges offer at 21 wents and
