DRAINING OF THE ZUIDER ZEE.

FINISH OF DYKES ENDS FIRST STAGE.

Amsterdam, May 28. A gigan- tic dyke separating the Zuider Zee from the North Sea and converting the old Zuider Zee into jsel Lake, was completed this afternoon, with simple ceremony in the presence: Ha of various Dutch dignitaries.
