The management of the Peninsula Hotel, having, with their usual generosity, granted the Committea in charge of the Fair the use of their ground and first floors, a most elaborate exhibition "of local produce and industries is now on view. There was a large 'gathering present at the Hotel yesterday when His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government, the Hon. Mr. W. T Southern, U.M.G., declared the Fair open.

Throughout to-day the Fair will be open to the public and there is no doubt that many will avail themselves of the opportu nity of viewing for the first time in Hong Kong a collection of British and local products under one roof.
